Recover Brand Identity

Illiteracy is a serious and growing problem in the United States. Recover Books collects used books, re-covers them with a new unique design, and gives them to away to encourage people to read. Each new cover features a collage that abstractly represents aspects of the story. The barcode from the former book cover is also worked into each design. On the back cover, three elements of the story are highlighted to pull in the reader. In total there are twenty unique covers. Rather than have new copies of books printed, Recover instead removes the old book covers and replaces them with the redesigned ones. After the new cover is placed on the book, the book is packaged in kraft paper. Recover was originally created as a brand identity, pop-up store and website for donation and distribution.
